Out Of Place 3D Models
Attach the most outlandish and obnoxious uses of 3D you've seen in a comic and some context if it makes it funnier or more WTF.
This is more specific to full color manhwas and manhuas but do you guys ever get annoyed that they're so mass produced and rushed that all the backgrounds and props are 3D models especially when it's a more exaggerated style so it looks really out of place. I wouldn't care if the artist traced the 3D models or edited them to have the right shading and lighting but it just looks so off and out of place it's jarring when it's slapped in their raw with that clunky ass gray tone and shadow. But then sometimes it's the stupidest shit like why can't you draw a book? It's just a rectangle I don't care if you draw it poorly and under detailted learn how to draw objects please or you'll never get better. Or like one time it was a throne just draw a fancy chair. I think we've all seen the shitty horses.

Usually when I mention how much I hate this shit people start talking about how "it's the livelihood of the artist", "it's easier this way", "draw one yourself then" and shit like that

I hate 3D hands in general, but this one drives me insane I spent like 30 minutes ranting about it the first time I saw it. Why is the glove 3D but the skin isn't. Just draw the whole hand, put a line thru it and colour the fingers black it's so easy

Can't remember about 3D models or ai backgrounds but I think this webtoon has the most blatant use of AI I have ever seen. Like the art style is so obviously created with the help of AI. 2 reply
Some artists are so lazy they can't even draw something as simple as spoon, mugs, pillows, etc... Like, yeah they have a deadline. But I'm pretty sure they can take some time to draw these simple things. 3D models can be easily traced on something like CSP. That's why CSP even provides the models in the first place. reply
Omg, yes, I know what you mean. Me personally, I think that whenever there's a scene where the characters are eating, they put realistic food and just outline it with black. It looks so ugly and out of place reply

Whenever I see the overuse of 3D assets in jarring ways, I redirect my brain into thinking of those artists who are the opposite. Makes me respect them that much more. reply
