whenever i go out i literally have to put on eyeliner, mascara, foundation, eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, lip tint and gloss, choose an outfit (cant be the same one as yesterday or the day before, cant be too slutty or modest), wear accessories, straighten my hair or do a curly routine (both of which will take over half an hour) and i still feel like im not pretty enough
men will literally put on an oversized shirt + cargo pants (bonus points if they brush their teeth and dont smell like rotten eggs) and ppl will declare them a fashion icon i literally cant rn
gender roles are a prison and we're all beholden to them, but you are allowed to abandon all that makeup stuff and genuinely, most people won't care outside of a few jerks. stop wearing makeup if it stresses you out. leave the accessories at home. don't care about your hair unless it's important to its health. stop worrying about having to be a par...... 4 reply
