reading bl is so exhausting for a number of reasons (at least for me) and yes it is not a representation of the community itself so it's honestly fucking disgusting when some would equate it to reality. it's also horrifying that individuals who are self-proclaimed homophobic would admit with their whole chest that they fetishize gay men and it makes me sick. plus the underlying misogynistic theme of a lot of bl titles
Well when you look at earlier titles and some titles today there are aspects of it that ain’t all right. But the bl genre is getting better at not doing that kind of thing.
