reading bl is so exhausting for a number of reasons (at least for me) and yes it is not a representation of the community itself so it's honestly fucking disgusting when some would equate it to reality. it's also horrifying that individuals who are self-proclaimed homophobic would admit with their whole chest that they fetishize gay men and it makes me sick. plus the underlying misogynistic theme of a lot of bl titles
im bi and i read bl but its sometimes uncomfortable to read bc of how misogynistic they're even sometimes they talk of gay people in a negative way.
it pisses me off when they dont dare to use the word gay bc "its disgusting" or sometimes they even have the audacity to say they are not gay/bi they just like that specific character.
