with all these comment threads around talking about fujos and how they often fetishize gay men and their relationships, these straight women keep accusing gay people of being heterophobic. i personally think it's bullshit but what about you?

Just wanted to say that the thing is not to compare which is worse between homophobia and heterophobia. It is obvious for everyone even for heteros that homophobia is much more significant.

No, heterophobia is not real and straight people are not oppressed. I am straight and I am saying that. Laws and rules are formed with the assumption that heterosexuality is the majority. No and never will be. Many people think straight is the "normal" (which is not,because there's no normal). Heteros aren't oppressed,why would they be? Both sides can be and/or are oppressed but one side is obviously more oppressed than the other. However, there were some times where some of my straight male friends were accused or labeled of being homophobic or transphobic both in real life and online, just because they said no when they were asked if they would date a gay or a trans person.

Definitely no. Even in 21st century there are countries where it is illegal to be gay, people even get killed because they are gay. While straight people don't face such things because of their sexuality. So straight people are not oppressed 1 reply
