What's fundamental to a good story?
I think this question is kind of hard because it's so subjective imo. But for me what makes or breaks a story are the characters. They don't even have to be the best characters as long as they 1. actually do shit 2. Have personalities.
I only have 3 criteria for a story to be good for me or at least enough for me to finish reading it XD Either they have all three or they only meet one.
1. Visuals- I need the art style to be pleasing if it's a visual media plus the editing and visual effects. In writing, the characters should at least have one eye candy (quite shallow but sue me)....... reply
