Ever came out?

If you are a LGBTPQ society
Did you ever come out to the people around you?
If so how did they react?
When I came out to my parents they literally rapidly disowned me.
Before that I told them I have something to tell them
They were like "we're going to love you no matter what so don't be afraid"
That's what I thought but oh well
Now I just live alone thank god I'm a college student
The funny part is they were like "your joking right you only ever dated guys you can't be serious your just confuse" and that I should get tested cause I got the "GAY" virus
