If she said she needs space, let her have space. She made herself clear. This situation sucks for you, but your friend is suffering right now and you should listen to her. Message her that if she needs anything, you’re here, and ask if she doesn’t want to talk with you at all, or if she just wants to maintain some distance but still talk casual......   1 reply

Man I'm aroace too and my sister just went through her first breakup and I felt so damn useless... So first things first... she asked you for space, so give her some. I understand you don't want to be seen as a bad friend, but frankly, this situation isn't about you. give her some time to come to terms with the situation and her feelings. be there ......   1 reply

I suggest checking up on her occasionally so she doesn't feel too alone. You don't have to completely disappear from her side, you can also support her silently by letting her know you'll be there when she needs it   reply

Give her as much space as she needs, just make it clear that the door is open for her to reach out. and about the mouth running thing, i had a similar issue in the past, a good trick is to start putting longer pauses between sentences, give your brain some breathing room to think. sort of like double checking your answers before turning them in.   reply
