PLEASE HELP
my friend just had the worst break up ever and she said she need some space cus being alone is how she cope. the thing is we’re basically 24/7 together and i dont have any ride to go to class as shes the only one that own a car (and license). well idc about walking to my campus (even tho it took like 15-20 mins) cus ive done it like everyday a year ago but i just dk how should i act when im around her and i dont even know if i should just leave her alone completely or act like nothing happen like ykwim. i have no problem at giving her space since ik she got a lot of shit on her plate but at the same time i dont think i should leave her alone cus it’ll make me look like a bitch of a friend that let their friend suffer in silence BUT if i still hang around her i FOR SURE will let my mouth running all the time and possibly will say smth that make her uncomfortable. im so sorry for asking this kind of question on THIS site but i rlly need other suggestions rn. (for declaration, im aroace so ive never deal w a breakup b4 thats why idk what to do or how to deal w it)
If she said she needs space, let her have space. She made herself clear. This situation sucks for you, but your friend is suffering right now and you should listen to her. Message her that if she needs anything, you’re here, and ask if she doesn’t want to talk with you at all, or if she just wants to maintain some distance but still talk casual...... 1 reply
