What's your opinion in reincarnation storylines?
I just want to know what other people think about this subject. Personally, I like stories like reincarnation in other worlds (isekais) or when the protagonist regresses but recently I've realized that I don't like stories where (modern setting, "real life") the protagonist dies and their soul switches with someone that was about to die, tried to killed themselves and now the protagonist has to live someone else's life. It just makes me sad to think about pretending to be someone else, that my life ended and people who knew me had lost me. Idk, it's a sad way of living foward
I LOVE IT. It's my favorite trope ever. I think what you mean is transmigration, ngl I don't rlly like that trope as much anymore because all I end up thinking about is the original owner of the body and it makes me feel pity for them.
Reincarnation tho, it hits pretty hard especially if it's written well. I'm sure a lot of us have thought "In an...... reply
I do like reincarnation stories when the MC takes a chance to understand the person they reincarnated in and try to make their lives better by doing things their own way like ‘The Duchess’ 50 Tea Recipes’ and ‘Miss Not-So Sidekick.’
But I would love to see stories where the author touches more on aspects of the MC when they reincarnated...... reply
I just want something like
- them having homesick
-they getting the feeling wanting to go back
-not wanting the life because its not their own life
-being shock about new things
-not baby reincarnation
-if they died because they want to die then they should still seek of wanting to die again
-not overpower
