What's your opinion in reincarnation storylines?

I just want to know what other people think about this subject.
Personally, I like stories like reincarnation in other worlds (isekais) or when the protagonist regresses but recently I've realized that I don't like stories where (modern setting, "real life") the protagonist dies and their soul switches with someone that was about to die, tried to killed themselves and now the protagonist has to live someone else's life.
It just makes me sad to think about pretending to be someone else, that my life ended and people who knew me had lost me. Idk, it's a sad way of living foward
