For me is when the mc raises the love interest, there are some exception based on how the author writes the "raising part" for example svsss shen yuan was barely present that's why i managed to enjoy the story but there's some story out there where the mc is fr the mother and father of the love interest and it's just weird for me it's gives off #boymoms
This! I don't see people discussing this enough. When the love interest or the mc plays almost a parental role, it just feels weird. The shizun dynamic in SVSSS was also just a little bit icky for me but like you said, he technically wasn't his shizun to begin which made it more digestible.
