My question is WHY IS IT SO POPULAR? I've read a few chapters and it was just seme raping uke all the time and being a jerk and uke being helpless and stupid. Do people actually enjoy reading about rape? Or is it just that the seme is handsome and there's a lot of smut so it's enough to be popular?

I think besides what other people said about the author already being popular from BJ Alex, they spent a lot of money on advertising it. It was everywhere. Lezhin made it 40 coins instead of the standard 30, which is crazy. I remember hearing that once it became uncensored, people that had already bought it had to pay again if they wanted the unce...... 1 reply
If I had to say, many of these girls like the idea that the MC is like a magic wand or something who turns the rotten partner into an endearing person. The same way it happens in the shoujo ones where the FL literally gets cheated on and then ML repents later. Probably there is some deep emotion among these readers.
