how to increase spice tolerance?
my mom is mexican and i love her and her food so much!! but despite eating spicy food my whole life, my spice tolerance doesn't seem to get any better? every time i tell my mom i don't feel like eating her super spicy food bc i have the WORST time in the toilet after she starts scolding me and i feel like i should really increase it somehow. any tips?
Spice tolerance only refers to your ability to eat the food not what comes after. Capsaicin is an irritant which binds to fats, eating a greek yoghurt or drinking a glass of kefir after should completely nullify the iritation. If you get acid reflux you can just eat some antacids. 2 reply
Start replacing a key item in your food with spice, like let’s say u drink water all day, now replace every sip of water u take with habanero peppers and by the time u get to ur next meal you’ll b fully prepared to eat spicy food
Or maybe you wash ur face twice a day, instead of washing ur face you could chew some habanero peppers so u get a bi...... reply
Spice is due to pain rather than taste, so I think you should start through building up slowly, kinda like building muscle through overcoming soreness. Don't do too much or else it'll hurt you more than help you, so start very mildly then build up gradually.
My tolerance is okay. I can handle some spice, but not overwhelmingly so. Also, have stuff...... 1 reply
Your culo will never stop aching.
Being fr mine came with age, my taste buds changed as I got older. Can't say I can eat takis or anything but I can enjoy spicy soups. I always offset spicy food with spoonfuls of bland food. 1 reply
