Im going to uni soon and ive been thinking should i keep my interest towards anime a secret?
I didnt keep it as a secret when i was in high school and.... stuff happened. Well its not all bad but there are people who thinks that im weird for liking it and tbh it does kill my self esteem a lil
Do some of you are okay being open with your interest for anime or hide it?
i am open about it and people who don't like it don't talk to me but they ain't some petty hoes that will judge what i like they just let me be some even know all my yaoi kinks reply

I hide it ╥﹏╥ I don't want to but I'm really scared to tell my friends, like I talk to some people at school that like anime but they aren't really my friends just people I bond over anime with. reply
Idk what country are you in.. So I cannot just give a straight answer...
But for me... I DID HIDE IT AND IT JUST GET AWAY FROM MY SYSTEM OVER TIME. It became a natural for me.. Maybe because I am afeaid of being an outcast or those like.. People's gaze looking at you with contempt for liking an unusual thing.

It depends on you, if you want friends with the same interests as you just share what you like. I did and now all anime and manga-loving people irl come to me to chat and it's fun, we share info on websites, we give each other recommandatons on anime to watch and where to buy merch. I'm open about my interest but I don't go out of my way to show that I love anime. If someone asks, I'll gladly answer. Anime has actually been trending this past year or two so don't be afraid to be open about your passion. I carry a manga or light novel with me at all times and read it in plain view of anybody who cares to see it. It's not my problem if people can't mind their own business. reply
