Personally, I'll read just about any topic as long as it's interesting to me. That includes topics that people might find upsetting, including rape.

short answer i have is bc rape irl ≠ rape in fiction bc ppl are not interacting w them the same way regardless of whether the interest is academic, casual, personal, sexual, etc. bc consumption and enjoyment of fictional media is way more nuanced than just "they like The Thing in Every Context Imaginable" and also things in fiction are more nuanc...... 2 reply

I'm not a fan of many typical plot devices like rape but even comics that DO have them can end up being a good read. It heavily depends on the writing tho.
