Weird to feel jealous
I come from a culture that does things the older way, where a guy's family comes for the girl's hand in marriage, and everything is consensual, and if they want it to go through, it will, but if they do, they don't have to go through with it. But lately, as my sisters and I get older, more people are coming asking if any of us want to get married or just have the thought of it, but everyone that comes only asks for my older sister of 1 year and my younger sister, who is younger by 3 years. Is something wrong with me that nobody wants the idea of me being married to their son? am I so ugly that they only bring up my older and younger sister? Is it so wrong to feel jealous?
Is it really a matter of beauty though??? Recently there's no one in my family who was arranged married, we've ditched the old ways so maybe I've forgotten how things work but they still look at the girl's qualification?! How do arranged marriage work these days lol? Curious af cuz I remember that they used to provide something like a resume?? That...... 1 reply
