I fucked up my chance
I was planning on joining the AirForce and the ASVAB is a big deal. You need a good composite score and individual scores to join and land a good job. Well, I took the practice ASVAB today for my recruiter and I just know I did horrible. I was literally fucking shaking while I took it, I was so anxious I couldn’t think properly at all. Every time I clicked an answer I immediately second guessed myself, thinking I’m so wrong. One question was on word knowledge, and a word came up that I guessed the meaning of, but I was like “no, I’m probably wrong” so I changed my answer and I looked it up after. Turns out I was originally right.
I’ve fucked up man, I couldn’t even understand what I was reading sometimes with how bad my anxiety hit when taking the test I know I probably wouldn’t have gotten a good score to begin with, but adding my crippling anxiety on top of it? I’ve probably lost any chance at going to the AirForce or getting a decent job :(
It may not be too late to back out, go to community college for your AA, then try again to get a better job. I almost really joined the army this year bc i really wanted to move out, but realized I can still do that without forcing myself to make hasty decisions.
