a myth you believed for the longest fucking time

bro my brother told me one time i would get bad eyesight if i sat to close to the tv and i where glasses now so i believed it was cause of the tv until googled it one day and turns out it's a sigh your eyesight is bad and not the cause of poor eyesight so my question is what is a story or myth you were told when you were younger you still believed til recently?
