Any plotlines that you've thought of yourself that would actually make a decent story?

Ok I have one: basically in a world where beastmen exist, there is a story that beastmen were created by an evil sorcerer plotting to take over the world or sth. Thus there was rampant racism and discrimination against beastmen in this medieval setting.

But actually, it was just an experiment by a scientist who really liked cute animals, and the concept of humans with cute cat ears. In the process of trying to create a potion (in the forest) that achieves that, the experiment failed and exploded and the sorcerer died.

But it was not a complete failure, as all the animals nearby affected by the potion would grant their animal features to humans they come into contact with. (Details to be discussed). Fear spread and "infected" animals were killed, leading to the situation today.

But now, the sorcerer had been reincarnated! They were elated when learning the existence of beastmen, but fell into despair and self-blame upon knowing their treatment in this society. Thus, the sorcerer goes on a journey to make things right (Details to be discussed).
