Sex scenes in movies for no reason

Ngl I feel like the directors that add sex scenes to their movies when there's NO POINT just want to have sex in their movie because....well, sex sells and shit. But then they try to hide that obvious intention with "It's about the cinematography!" or "It's about the characterization!" because they can't find a creative reason for WHY it's there.
