It's moreso 'erotica' which is different from porn in various ways.
ACTUAL porn is evil shit, rife with human trafficking, exploitation of minors, nonconsensual acts/filming/distribution, etc. Real people being harmed there.
Erotica is fictionalized, and yaoi is just straight up DRAWINGS so it can't really be compared.
