What was the point of recommending Boku no pico?

I suppose most of ppl here watch anime and have done soo for a long time, and it's kind of s tradition to recommend Boku no pico to so:

Did you get it recommended? What was you reaction if you ended up watching it?
Have you recommended it to a newbie (for the shock value and nothing else)?


Something I have been asking myself is if the shock was supposed to be "Haha I tricked you into watching porn (of a kid)" or "Haha i tricked you into watching two dudes fucking".

I think if pico was a girl, Boku no pico would be just a "classic", that WokE otAKus Don't UnDerStaNd, like how people defend shit like dragon maid nowadays-
