I have a bias for anything gay related, is it just me?
I’m not a fan of romance/drama. That’s just so boring in my opinion. I much prefer horror/thriller, fantasy, sci-fi and supernatural. But then suddenly if the romance/drama has gay/lesbian shit, I’m all over it, even better if it’s a genre I usually like to consume.
It’s the exact same when reading manga/manwha/manhua. I used to read shoujo n shit like that, but I never liked it as much as BL/GL. Romance anime? Absolutely not. Get that out of my face lol. But all of a sudden it’s gay related, and somehow that’s my favourite shit. IT’S THE SAME WITH MUSIC BRO. If the song’s gay, I could never skip it. Like what??? It’s like if it’s gay, it makes everything better lmao.
Anyway, can anyone else relate? Also I should note, I am gay. That could explain everything I just said

Yes that's part of the reason but also keep in mind that lgbtq works in these genres exploring these type of topics are kind of new versus anything that would be straight or even non-sexual which are most common. 1 reply
That’s pretty much me. I don’t what it is, but I feel like female characters are usually horribly written and annoying, whereas in BL the characters tend to be somewhat equals in personality. I tend to avoid BLs with annoying or stupid MCs, but I feel like these types of characters are not as common as they are in shojo. Shojo protagonists are ...... 1 reply
