I don't get K-pop demon hunters hype
I think I'll get a lot of hate for this but... Is it just me who thinks it's just overrated. My entire youtube feed was filled with KDH shit. Like the yt shorts won't leave me alone until i watched it. So I caved in to the train and watched it and was utterly disappointed. Like only redeeming quality about that movie was their face cards and the songs were catchy. The plot was absolutely mid (dogshit). All the new Disney movies that people make such a big deal about being shit, are 10x better than this movie plotwise.
if you take it for what it appeared to be: a campy and silly movie, it's fine
if you dig a little deeper, that it was a way to capitalize on the current kpop phenomenon sweeping the western world, its very....eh
my problem was that it tried too hard in all the wrong ways and was incredibly, incredibly formulaic. i would have loved to see no hamfist...... reply
The soundtrack is the only thing saving that movie. The storyline was all over the place and was executed so badly that the plot holes can be spotted 10 minutes into the movie.
Compared to Disneys “Mulan” and “Princess and The Frog”—that were shorter (or the same) in duration as KPOP DH—It’s a let down that they couldn’t organize ...... 1 reply
Is it a masterpiece? Not much but lol it's better than what Disney is doing these days so I disagree with you on that part, I find the culture behind it cool and it's not even kinda new that you save the world with singing, MLP Equestria Girls have done it already but they mixed culture with it but it's aimed for kids, like the plot felt rushed but...... reply

Well i won't hate you for this, i didn't even watch the movie, i've just listened to the songs and got obsessed with them for awhile (i still do) and i like villains and unreal demons lmao but like yea i get you they shouldn't have even made a movie like the songs were enough imo, maybe do a virtual kpop group that'd have been better. 1 reply
