I think my mom is kinda weird...
I just suggested to my mom that maybe I should start using menstrual cups. I have really bad period cramps and I read online that it could help. Then she started spouting bullshit about how I haven't even had a kid yet, that it would basically be like masturbating, that I was still unmarried with no boyfriend, etc. etc. She also compared pulling out a menstrual cup to giving birth like wtf... And when I said I didn't want to have kids anyway she screamed at me that I should just cut out my uterus then (I do plan to have a hysterectomy when I can tho lol). Anyways is anybody else's parents like this??? For reference my family is Chinese and Christian-ish so maybe purity culture shit. ╥﹏╥
Strict Christians tend to lean more to perfectionism and being sinless as possible to consider themselves and their family members pure which most likely how they're raised and what church they've gone to.
