Do they like me, or am I tweaking?

The main reason I'm honestly saying this to a gooner website is because that mf is also chronically online (and they might see it somewhere, even if I made an alt account). Sorry for the long yap, I usually am not like this.

For context, we've known eachother way back when we were 5th grade. Somewhat friends, but it was honestly pretty low maintenance. We've talked casually, and I've considered him as a friend that I can open up to. Which is really rare, because I never have that much of a close friend opposite of my gender. We have same interests, hobbies, and humor. After for some time we've grown distancd, we did became friends again during high school as seniors.

Unfortunately, I did create dostance from him because not soon after people began to wonder if we were dating (I was also interested to another person that time, and I didn't wanna create misunderstandings). It's all in the past though, we are currently in college now, ended the no contact again like nothing happened. I really hate making assumptions, to the point I am driven to oblivion...

I honestly don't know how to describe his behavior towards me, but all I can say is that he's a fucking asshole (respectfully). He notice almost everything about me, and then insults me like a jerk he is. We do play games often, and he's probably one of the people who can match my schedule. Despite his rude mouth, he's really considerate towards me and let's me borrow his stuff, listen to my nonsense, and even do unspeakable things I ask him to. I thought maybe he's done this because he's my friend? I never saw him more than that. I don't know about him. But just recently, I can't help but notice him acting like a boyfriend would act. Walking me home, asking to sit next to me, and there was even one short era where he called me 'princess'. Honestly, I don't know anymore. HELP.
