Revenge romance isekai. The fl would always vow to take revenge but ends up doing jack shit. Albeit, there are about 5 stories that I’ve read where the fl actually gets diabolical revenge, but the majority of the stories in this genre fail to actually royally fuck over or even kill the antagonist! 1 reply

Love triangle. The only good love triangle I read was My daytime shooting star. But everything else reuses the same trope the same type of characters over and over, Though I kinda despise the trope itself like it just feels like drama for drama’s sake reply
Depends on the media for me.
Like movies for example. I can't stand romantic comedies. It feels like the same set up over and over again and it's never funny. There are comedy movies I like. There are romance movies I like. But I've yet to find a good blend of the two.

Seinen romance is usually okay. Shonen romance is so awful. I can name on one hand the amount of shounen romance that still holds up. As bad as a lot of shoujo from the 2000’s and early 2010’s ages, when a shonen decides it’s main focus is romance it’s like eating a sandwich and then finding out it’s been poisoned on the last bite. 1 reply
