What is your coping mechanism when you're hurt/angry
When i feel hurt/angry, i usually go silent. i instantly shut up and start dissociating myself from reality. i don't like confrontations so i tend to isolate myself until i calm down. i don't want to hurt others or be hurt in the heat of the moment. it's kind of unhealthy cause i'd bottle things up but isn't it the best way to avoid conflicts?
lock myself in my room, listen to sad/angry songs and enact an imaginary scenario matching the mood... surprisingly feels refreshing after all that so then i listen to happy songs 〜( ̄△ ̄〜)(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 reply
Eating more ice and listening to song to sing along or just find somewhere hidden place to cry silently alone lol also ignore people who made me angry by giving silent treatment. reply
Shut down completely and just stare at the wall for about an hour. Then put in my earbuds and watch YouTube or a movie. I'll ignore everything around me until a start to feel better. Not health but better then just sitting there and think about it like I use too 1 reply
Basically any harmful coping mechanism you can think of that can temporarily turn my brain off lol
(besides drugs. I am a law abiding citizen.) OR I just sit there and fester in the idea of doing said harmful coping mechanism. 0/10 would not recommend reply
