Everyone here is being so weird ngl. 18 and 22 are 2 adults, usually both in college, and not even that far apart. RESPECTFULLY, it’s all about mentality. When I was younger and just became legal, it was more about who I liked and what I liked about them, rather than age playing a factor. Nay lol idk man, 18 is actually so young when you pass that age. I made hella alot of mistakes that age and did stupid stuff. I wasn't definitely so mature, you don't gain adult maturity when you hit that. Also love how im saying this when im 19 (turning 20 this may tho) anyways. Point is, different maturity. I agree with the person about mentality. Age is just a number really. It’s about what they’ve experienced, how much they’ve matured, how they approach conflict and problems - an important aspect in life and relationships.

if you’re not comfortable with the age gap then don’t date him but this age gap is such a non issue. This is like one of the least problematic age gaps ive heard of on this god-forsaken website. I dated a 23 year old when I was 19, so I personally don’t see it as a big deal. But what’s important here is that you said “I’m not really comfortable.” There’s your answer.
