This website is not safe we’re next on the chopping block
As we all know, a prominent website in our community has been nuked. If you’ve been here for a while, you remember the great silencing from 2021 to 2024. Stuff like this happens because manga/manhua/manhwa (Yaoi and Yuri specifically) is becoming more mainstream, and we have commenters and especially influencers promoting these websites, lazily censoring them or even just straight-up saying it.
I never really used Bato like that, only on occasion for a certain genre I couldn’t find here. I started noticing a weeks ago. Some content was getting migrated over here. Mangago doesn’t always have unique translations, but it was stuff that 1000s of days old on that site so the signs were there. Not to mention the website, shutting down every three days.
We can hope and pray no one exposes his website, but if we’re being honest with ourselves, there’s always gonna be somebody trying to be a hero and telling people anyways, and we know the more popular unoriginal “influencers” of this community will regurgitate this website 1000 times till it’s the next one gone. if you have anything you’d actually like to save on this website, I’d start archiving it right now. Mangago has a special place in all of our hearts. From 12-18 I’ve basically spent all of my teen years on it. But I don’t think it’ll be with me to see my 20s
If this site goes down imma become like an addict forced to quit cold turkey man, maybe I’ll finally give up my manhwa/BL reading habit but more likely I’ll just have to settle for another platform; I still think mggo has one of the best designs tho in terms of organization, lists, tags, community 1 reply
It’s because dumb people here think that they are entitled to read mangas illegally. I saw some discourse and people actually said they are “helping” the authors by reading illegally and promoting the story, and that readers are allowed to read illegally because they are “broke”. Bro. And so these dumbasses parade around with mgg screensh...... 2 reply

as someone who's been here since like 2020, it's so disheartening to see so much getting nuked :( unfortunately piracy really is an accessibility issue and it's horrible to think that so many translations and archivals made with love might end up gone. i also have spent pretty much my teen years on this site and idk what i'd do without this communi...... 2 reply
Exactly man, these illegal sites have been my childhood, I can’t imagine what life would be like if I didn’t have pirated manga to help me along the way, not to mention the people here, having all these amazing users to talk to, I really don’t want it to go away. I genuinely love this site, its irreplaceable and I will be so sad if it gets sh...... reply
No cus literally. Im so frustrated at how some people especially on timtok leak sites like it's nothing. I even saw someone say it's not their problem, like? If they have at LEAST an amount of decency and peobably the brain cells to distinguish the creeping danger of the future of these sites, then they should at least stay quiet about it...
