Gatekeeping won't do shit.
People fail to consider that there are a lot of reasons why a pirate website can shut down besides the fucking copyright, for example, WHEN DEVS AREN'T INTERESTED IN RUNNING THE WEBSITE ANYMORE, WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENED TO B*TO. People somehow deluded themselves into thinking that piracy websites actually get tons of money when most of the time they barely sustain themselves with the amount of storage they pay for and the devs running the website. Gatekeeping won't help because Korean companies have already gone for websites that no one knows of, Do you really think companies don't know how to use Google or what? Also, why are Mangago and B*to big to begin with Because it's popular, gatekeeping won't help; it will just make uploads fewer. Also, you people are just selfish; you benefited from the website as much as you wanted, and I'm sure you used it because people told you about it, yet you won't help and you tell other people to not help. This is not why piracy exists; piracy exists not for YOUR ONLY SATISFACTION, but for everyone's.
First of all, I did not find this site because of others. I did it after a very deep search. Sure companies can do that too SO LET THEM? Why tell them outright or spread the name all over on popular social media platforms and fasten the process?
Next yes sure there are many reasons for a site to go down but SPREADING THE NAME is one of them...... 2 reply
Gatekeeping is better than having the site taken down. You share it through dms and by censoring the names which many b@t0 users ...... 1 reply
Agree about what you said about piracy and what it stands for. And I think you are right about Devs being uninterested in sustaining the website. I was a b@to user and i preferred it to mggo because you could comment on chapters, it made for interesting back and forth. But then it started to show ads despite being logged in so I shifted to mggo. I ...... 2 reply
