On Writing with Exaggeration as a Form of Appreciation
I have been reading on this site since 2020, and throughout that time I have come to enjoy expressing my appreciation for certain works through a style of writing that leans toward exaggeration and heightened language. It is not intended as satire or mockery, but rather as a playful yet genuine way of articulating how deeply a story has resonated with me. However, from my experience, this manner of expression does not always seem to be well received, and it is sometimes met with confusion regarding its sincerity or purpose. This has led me to wonder whether such writing is generally considered unappealing, or perhaps viewed as poor form rather than a personal stylistic choice. I am curious to hear how others perceive this kind of commentary, as I write purely out of enjoyment and appreciation, without any intention of imposing my tone or taste upon fellow readers.
