im having such a hard time reading literally anything. i only read updates and thats all, i don’t know if its me being lazy or if i just lost interest in reading. i miss being able to read 80 chapters in one sitting
reading is my only hobby, i feel really sad not being able to read anything. all i do now is scroll on social media. i want to read so many different stories, its been so long since i’ve read shoujo or shoujo ai, all i read is yaoi now
I get what you mean, I’ve been deleting or deactivating everything lately because it all just became too much for me (TikTok, Instagram, etc.). The only website I visit almost every day is mangago... nobody knows me here and I can just read whatever I want (even if it's just smut), but lately it really just feels like a chore and I sometimes have to push myself to do it... but still, if I didn’t have this site, I wouldn’t know where I’d be right now..it’s the only thing that makes me at least a little bit happy lately

Idk tbh I get these things periodically, but I've discovered that I just really need to find something that piques my interest to keep me reading 80 chapters at a time (for example)
If you find that social media is distracting you, that's super normal. That always happened to me because I wasn't bothered to invest my emotional and mental energy into a piece of media that would require my attention for full immersion and enjoyment.
Social media is like such a beguiling escape from that inability to invest in reading when in that mental state.
I wouldn't say it's being lazy, it's probably you being drained or just uninterested.
Maybe try reading something outside of manhwas? Like books? I've discovered that reading books can be more motivating because there's more quality, more detail, and more exploration of characters. Especially with the slop being promoted on mangago with no substance... It gives you the impression that there's nothing worth your time and stuff.

No, I get you! Goonslop is just much easier to read because it isn't serious and it's designed to catch your attention just like scrolling on social media. It has no substance or isn't too heavy. It's just slop, and has the same effect that scrolling through endless tiktok videos has on us!
I just got back on Tiktok like yesterday and that was a huge mistake lmao I just spent two hours scrolling to procrastinate drawing but TBF scrolling through drawing videos did help reigniting my passion for animation so that's good ig but it ain't worth the cost of my time and attention span lol
