I haven't read a single yuri in my life that convinced me to like the genre. Maybe with the Kase-san series being one exception, but there's still a mile between this and my favourite yaoi titles. I totally agree that there's a whole lot of shit in the yaoi genre though. You have to really take your time to dig through and find the pearls. reply

more on the yuri side tbh, most of the bl I've read sucked and/were too toxic for me to even continue reading plus most of the popular bl's I read are really icky in the relationship part too, it could just be that I'm bad at finding any actual ones that don't make me feel guilty even reading it, but the yuir's I read were sweet in a weird comfort...... 1 reply
Some of yall are baffling with the REASON you say yaoi is better than yuri. The reason you like yaoi is cause you like men, you don’t like women and you don’t find it interesting when they fuck. Yaoi is literally better in every way because of the way the genre has evolved over the years which is an unfair comparison because no one has ever made an original Yuri that isn't probably set in high school, two girl best friends falling in love, in short the same story over and over most times.
