If you mean like actual book authors, then my favourite is Fyodor Dostoevsky, basic af I know. I don't read books by any modern authors so idk any.
BUT if you mean manga/hwa/hua authors, then my favourite is obviously my GOAT, the BEST new-gen shounen author, the creator and artist of the BEST new-gen DARK FANTASY, ACTION SHOUNEN MANGA of the 2020......
