Would you give a bad rating to a good series just because you didn't like the ending?

Ill usually take a star off if its AWFUL. But sometimes its an appropriate ending, even if we dont like it. Example being not every ending can be happy.   reply

Depends on the series and how much I liked it generally, and also how bad it really ended. Most of the time, if I think a series was a 4/5️ or 5/5️ but it had a shit ending, then my final score is always 3/5️.   reply

no but I'll subtract a star from my rating. I kind of wish we could give half a star though, like sometimes a story is a 3 ½, not exactly a 4.   1 reply

Depends on how much I liked a series. If I truly enjoyed the journey, the destination isn't really important, otherwise I'd deduct a star which usually leaves it at 4/5   reply

yes. haven't you heard,“all's well that ends well”? if an ending is underwhelming, i feel betrayed and feel like the author didn't do justice to the story.   reply

The ending can still be good even if I don't like it. I just follow the rating indications on mangago (the ones everyone ignores) and rate accordingly.   1 reply

Depending on the ending, if everybody dies I take off 1-2 stars depending on whether their death was needed or not. (SPOILER FOR SQUID GAME) like for example squid game, I hated it . I don't care what the meaning was but it was just unnecessary since squid games kept continuing anyways. I was mad everyone died in the end and gi-hun did all that for......   reply

I was going to give Dawn of the Dragon a 100000/5 until the later half, which just ruined it a bit. I ended up giving a 3/5 because I still appreciate the great art, great character design, great character personalities, great heart tugs, great beginning.
