good reason to drop someone?
so i was talking to this guy and learned that his father voted for trump. i asked if he was a democrat or republic and he told me he didn't vote. after knowing that, i blocked him. is it a petty reason? i feel like it isn't but some people told me it is

Thats totally reasonable, political views can show how you think and what's your moral compass so its understandable that you don't want to associate with a person whith whom you're not on the same page value wise
it truly is that deep, more so when its a bout a close relationship, like friends and romantic partners

I've personally broke up over someone because he said he didnt vote and im not even american, its more of a, how privileged he is that the thought that his vote will not matter made him "didnt care much about politics" lowk disgusted me, i grilled him for this at the time and even thought that it was odd for anyone to "not care about politics" it ...... reply

IMO, you did well. He's lying about voting.. He voted for trump just like his father but unlike his dad, he feels shame because he knows he's wrong and because all the women he likes are ones who didn't vote for trump.
