Junior year and I have no idea what I wanna do with my life
I’m a 17 yo female, I’ve generally been a straight A student every year and all my classes are geared toward science. my mom has been pushing me to do something in medicine! And being from an Asian family, not breaking ANY stereotypes, my mom has high expectations of me, especially compared to my siblings. She’s a nurse practitioner, she wanted me to be one, but now she wants me to be a doctor of some sort and I’m not about that life. I’m introverted, and don’t want the pressure of someone’s life in my hands. I just want something in science or medicine that had a good work life balance, low stress, and doesn’t take a decade in school…and preferable good pay…. Does anyone have ANY advice on what I should do with my train wreck of a life…?

Though you wouldn't make as much money as a doctor would, there's a lot of options and you wouldn't need to spend a decade in school. Also, depending on the field you enter, there will be mobility upward and/or into...... reply
