Is it just me that hates fwb in romance?
Cause usually its that thing where one of them wants an actual relationship and the other doesn't so then I'm just watching a man or woman have 0 backbone for half the runtime (usually for like the ugliest ml you could conjure up in your mind)
if i wanted to see halfhearted flirting I'd actually just open my own dms

Omg YES, I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE THAT TROUPE. It just feels like they got together 'cause of the sex. Authors that don't know how to write actual romance only do that troupe. It's so lazy and based on misunderstandings and will they, won't they confess their love after fucking for the 100th time. And it's so embarrassing/messy too. ESPECIALLY if one/b...... 1 reply
good bed chemistry --> fwb --> develops feelings ---> misunderstandings --> angst ---> lovers. it's the same formula...like there's no other route and it's js boring and feels lazy, there's no build up, no romance, no getting to know eachother and you can't get excited like watching them finally kiss after so many chapters it's js bland imo. there ...... reply
I like it. I have no issues with it...err....other than how the writer approaches the progression of the story. FWB can be absolutely amazing if the writer does well. If the author can't write they drag it out and beat a dead horse and more or less ruin their own story. So for me I like FWB, but how it is presented is key. There's not a darn t...... reply
