i'm a trust fund baby and had never work for money a day in my life (grateful) so the thoughts of getting a job lowkey cringes me but i know i'm gonna have to do it anyway cus money doesn't fall from the sky i wanna know how was your first time experiencing a job? did you also overthink but then find out it was just aight? any tips and/or advice?
lowkey dream job I worked at gong cha and I just made bubble tea all dayyyy :) It was honestly fine like I was in a period of highschool where I wasn't too busy all the time and I didn't mind staying out after school to work

the first job.. i cant even call it job.. i didnt stick to it. it was group singing on tv. no one watches that channel. i was in 7th grade ig? it wasn't bad. my music tutor helped me to join that programme. i just did my makeup, wore a gown and sang the songs with other kids. it was not hard or anything. it was just a bit difficult to keep track of...... reply
I worked at a math center for kids from a rich town/city when I was in high school, and tutored more rich kids from the suburbs during the weekend.
I did get a recommendation from one of my friends, and it helped that I was a calculus TA at my high school. I was nervous b/c I was surrounded by a bunch of students the same age as me, and 3 tax bra...... reply
worked at a waffle house that's near my school so i can gain experience or sum bullshit like that, but ultimately i worked for money lol. i used to work at 9pm-7am, and it was chill for the first few hours, fights usually happen at like 12-4am (mostly verbal fights, but there are times where we get into fist fights (and won them)) but its pretty ch...... reply
Kinda shocked that no one else mentioned family jobs, I used to help my mom at her job every December since there's always tons of customers in her shop during that time. Started when I was 13 and now I just help occasionally whenever I needed money or if my mom wants help again reply
My first job was working at an English tutoring academy. It was really fun since I've always loved English and meeting new people, but the pay was shit. The worst part about tutoring and other education-related jobs is that at first it's difficult to not bring your work at home. My fist job was a afterschool counselor. I helped second graders do their homework and entertained them after. I like kids sometimes, but if you work with kids, please my advice is to watch your mouth around kids. Even if they know curse words, saying shitty stuff can still get you in real trouble.
