Interesting concepts for stories?
What are some concepts, tropes or whatever you wanna see in stories because you think they're interesting? Personally i enjoy fucked up family relationship specifically codependency and emotional incest, i find it such an interesting concept especially in regards to the patriarchy like how fathers and brothers are obsessed with the virginity of their daughters and sisters, it's so obviously incestuous but it's normalized because of misogyny. I find it interesting and I wish there were stories that explored this that aren't made by weirdos obviously into straight up incest I like twisted dynamics when they're well written and trying to actually explore themes and say something.
I love me an unreliable narrator that has me questioning everything and every moment. Its a plus if theyre spiraling in their own self-doubt and you're just along for the ride, lol. 4 reply
mind break. purely psychological. toxic yaoi is so appealing to me but the same copy and paste rapeslop is not the easiest to digest TT i dislike how the authors frame that the uke falls in love with the seme in the end. very rarely do they make it obvious that it's bc they've become psychologically fucked over, and the majority of the time it's as...... reply
Hmm... your concept is interesting, a lot of people actually relate to this commonly... I wouldn't use the term "incest" though... it's more of feeling emotionally "trapped".
That incestuous connotation is more about possession and control... indeed rooted deeply in misogyny, and people don't even realize it.
In general I wish works explored more ...... reply
i love it when the two leads of a story start off normal or at least only slightly crazy, and then slowly descend into madness together as a product of their environment and relationship with eachother. the only two where i've really seen this is Red Mansion and Trapped with the Male Lead in a Horror Game. also i want confinement yaoi where the obj...... 1 reply
I think, if done properly, your idea could be interesting to explore. Not just in terms of sexism today, but also just in terms of gender roles and understanding how what some might see as fathers and brothers being protective of their female relatives, actually is used as an excuse for social control, abuse, and incest for others.

Your taste isn’t really my cup of tea. I suppose I also like the unconventional. I really like the crazy x crazier trope. Yknow, like Hannibal and Psychopath Diary — which is rife with misunderstandings that lead the actual murdered to kind of become obsessed with the main character.
I wish I could put a name to the trope to find more shows o...... 3 reply
My fave trope by far that’s cliched as fuck is someone basically helping someone else and they pretty much get so loyal to them it’s scary. Dear 00 does this perfectly reply
tbh im so down for manipulation in stories esp when it's paired w/ good writing, characs that are flawed yet calculating and intelligent intrigues me. reply
That vampire (trope??) where the person who is crazy slowly gets better but as they get better the other person (partner, friend, etc) slowly descends into madness reply
