i typed in the URL to read gachiakuta and lo and behold, the site was blocked, the reason: pornography. My heart literally skipped a beat and i closed the tab omg this is so embarrassing. How do they even know that?? I was using this site on my school wifi with no issues until now - and no i didnt read yaoi on my school wifi...
if i remember correctly, WiFi owner can check what websites the user opens... so if u open porn web yes they know it, if u open discord web with their wifi, they know it too 2 reply
It's the same with my school wifi. Sometimes I forget there's literal porn on this site because I'm always opening mangago in public to check for updates or maybe the forum. The covers on the homepage don't even register as inappropriate to me anymore so I wonder just how many strangers have seen my screen and thought I was fucking crazy reply
I used to read on a yaoi website strictly for yaoi smut on my computer and it worked, but at one point in time it got blocked and I wanted to die bcs someone has to go onto the site and see what’s on there to block it. Yeah, schools can do that. They do it with apps too My university has TikTok fully banned on its WiFi. I’m not on that app anyway, but it’s a bit wild lmao reply
A lot of WIFIs can be adjusted to block certain types of websites. Probably not the same thing tho but my university used to have this blockage, there was harmless sites too that couldnt be access bc the system read them as inappropriate reply
