Anime that i realized was weird now that im an adult

Yall know the anime called Dady Long Legs its not a new one its from the 90s, it centers around a young orphan girl Judy and theres this guy that kept sending her money,clothes and etc.. the reason why he was called daddy long legs was because she doesn’t know who he was and he was the only one that she considered as a family for some reason and his also the reason why she got to go to a prestige highschool, now the ending was weird,wanna know why? Because Daddy Long legs which is basically her father figure growing up ended up marrying her in the end and he was also grooming her all along, back then i used to wish that i was her because of the free gifts and stuff now that im grown up tht anime was weird as hell and in the book she was supposed to be in college but in the anime she was aged down to highscool and she was prolly 14 in the anime
