am i the only one
Am i the only one who hate mangas? i know some of them have some good stories but i hate how fast paced they are and also the lack of color... which is like what identifies manga and i hate it
You’re missing out on peak bro. Most are indeed fast paced but like when it’s slow burn, it’s SLOW burn (for example Spy x Family). I find them to have great plots and even if they’re fast paced I also find them really good (for example ‘A sign of affection’). And if you like Yaoi, you should most definitely read manga bc the plots are ...... reply
you missing out brah, most of peak story are from mangas. They mostly have better anatomy proportions than manhwas too. but i mean it's ur opinion so okay reply
I LOVE MANGAS! But you definitely aren't the only one since my own sister doesn't like reading them ╥﹏╥ she says the same thing, the lack of colour is unappealing to her and she doesn't like the way panels are set up. So I get it, but I'd pick mangas any day, I love them!
Btw, the one manga she actually enjoyed was "the one within the villa...... reply
Im sure its just cos you got into reading bl when koreans and chinese got REALLY into writing bl so thats what you got used to. But a lot of my best reads are mangas. Japanese people are the best yearners and it translates to their writing reply
I actually like them more because their body proportions are usually more consistent with real life's. I hate how exaggeratedly buff some seme are in manhwa. And manga art is just generally prettier imo. Oh and manga dihhs don't look like they'd cause rectal prolapse.
I'm ok with the pacing bc I don't want to get obsessed anyways I just want a litt...... reply
i'm actually the opposite! it's sort of a quality over quantity thing for me.
full color is difficult and time-consuming, and most manhwas don't have the time and budget to pull it off.
i'd rather detailed art with no color than poor-quality art with color.
same with pacing. fast-paced, well executed story > drawn-out, slow story. reply
contrary to your thoughts, they're not fast paced at all! you're just conditioned to reading manhwas with fast scrolling and long and woopery pages, compared to manga's slow scrolling and compact but short pages!
between these two medias, you can already see the difference and the mode of audience they're appealing to.

ehh it depends on preferences, i like both. they have their pros and cons.
sometimes, i don't wanna look at color, sometimes, i don't wanna look at monochrome. sometimes, i wanna read a lengthy story, sometimes, i wanna read something short. what i prefer depends on what i'm looking for at the time ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ reply
