Why do people on this site think that just because its free it automaticaly mean you cant criticize
A certain story here like what?? It's a site and everyone has an opinion on certain shit that we read here like why are SOME of you here quick to attack and say "it's a free manga/manwha so why are you complaining" as if giving your own opinion is suddenly illegal just because you don't pay for it

I feel like people use it as an excuse to not hear negative things about what they like, even knowing it is fully problematic or outright wrong. It's such a dumb argument, too.

It's just because they probably know you're right and have no other way to defend the story lmao. Everybody is free to call out whatever they want, be it a story's plot or execution or a shitty translation (I only give the side eye when someone comes back literally every week to complain about the same thing without dropping). To me its more that those "critiques" dont really give much value to the comment section and instead poison it. They are rudely written and mean and preventing any interesting conversations from forming (even between people who are disagreeing). They set the tone of the comment section, making people wary to give more nuanced takes in case someone ...... 1 reply
Not just that but translations too, ppl be acting like translators are jesus christ themselves here in this site. I be criticizing someone's translation and little miss goody two shoes over here telling me I should be grateful it even got translated, mind you all the translation was put sideways its hard to fucking ignore 3 reply
I must say, I understand to a certain degree on why people say that but that only applies to when people attack and harass authors over it like demanding shit. Not saying obviously problematic authors shouldn't be attacked, nah they deserve that hate.
