do you guys think omegaverse is misogynistic
i have seen this discourse a lot now i dont read omegaverse just bc i dont like it (mpreg makes me unbelievably uncomfortable) so i just wanna know what everyone thibks
Yeah it's literally just patriarchy 2.0 and it doesn't even try to say anything it's just omg what if a gender was inherently submissive and patite and could have children and also need a dick up their ass once a month isn't that hot 1 reply
Yes,ofc, the whole concept of omegaverse is to inflict patriarchy on man. And somehow it could be a great Idea to denounce sexism and gender norm but the only thing bl author want to do is mpreg and normalizing sa with the pheromones and rut thing. Even gl omegaverse is sexist... 1 reply
I have a few things in mind that i cant coherently unify lol
-Do i think its inherently misogynistic? No. Do i think it there are heteronormative gender themes? Yes.

However, nowadays, bls have started to stray from the traditional alpha x omega and alpha=dominant omega=submissive, exploring more of the implications of th...... reply
I mean I think it depends on the manga. Most of it is just mpreg and nothing else, but there are some stories that actually take it seriously and use it as allegory for misogyny and homophobia, as in, actually saying something about it. So this can be used as criticism of patriarchy, just portraying oppression on men similar to oppression on women ...... 1 reply
I think it depends on how wide your understanding is. In our world there are things we do that doesn't really have meaning into it and we just wanna do it but other people labeled it as they see fit. So if you think it's misogynistic the it's misogynistic. You dont need to know what we think because no matter what people say if it is what you think...... 1 reply
