same logic as the stereotype of botox usage: maintaining rigid aesthetic "perfection" is prioritized over expressing emotion. some people even prefer that. making expressive characters that also look "good" and attractive requires a grasp of artistic and anatomical fundamentals that not every artist that gets published has. reply
