yes and no. I think it depends on how the story is done but it has great potential for it.   reply

I think it depends on how wide your understanding is. In our world there are things we do that doesn't really have meaning into it and we just wanna do it but other people labeled it as they see fit. So if you think it's misogynistic the it's misogynistic. You dont need to know what we think because no matter what people say if it is what you think......   1 reply

I do think that. And,also in most of the bls are misogynistic. They portray girls annoying and stupid. We have a narrative in online that gay men are respectful towards women. It's so dumb. Even when most men are straight and desire women, they hate the idea of feminisms and other things. And,when men are gay, they strongly believe in misogyny cause ......   2 reply

Yes, but I’ve only ever read one omegaverse story, so I could be wrong. From what I’ve seen, omegaverse reinforces stereotypical gender roles and reduces omegas to their reproductive organs. It reflects patriarchal ideas by tying an individual’s value to reproduction, submission, and usefulness to others, which can also be reflected in the wa......   2 reply

Yes it is, omegas are based off females, they have wombs and even release breast milk. They're considered weak, have curvy body, and extremely submissive, and I guess periods are too far for them to draw since they decide to replace their monly cycles with fuckass heats. Also everybody seems to hate omegas?? Constantly get slut shammed and is harr......   1 reply

I'd argue the fic/prompt that kicked off the concept and most iterations of omegaverse are misogynistic, or more precisely, reinforce heteropatriarchy. but it doesn't automatically have to be. it can also be used to reflect thoughtfully on the status quo, or explore new options like any speculative fiction concept. too bad most creators, especially......   reply

sometimes but you can generalize that to treatment of yaoi ukes in general. i like when the author goes all in on the omegaverse-misogyny metaphor. like that one by asada nemui where the omega gets a hysterectomy.   reply

Does a bear shit in the woods? It absolutely is misogynistic and patriarchal and ukes are stand in for women and anyone who thinks otherwise ie, it's a subversion/examination of the real world set up is delusional in a bad way. Its origin was misogynistic, it was created to be ambiguous enough to carry the space for creating smut, reproductive smut......   reply

I feel like it's a parallel to our reality Like the omega represents the women and the alpha represents men . Then why did we make up this fake reality when it's just like ours ? We can just read about a man and a women u may ask . Well the answer is pretty simple , The explanation is in the psychology of why women prefer bl over straight stuff , ......   reply

It is the same question as, "Is writing misogyny, misogynistic?" To which, your answer, it is "No, it depends on how and what is being written." Personally, I don't like mpreg, I like the omegaverse where the men give birth to failed fetuses out of their anus like it's shit and blood spews everywhere in the washroom, aka no birth.   1 reply
