The racist bl got discontinued
To readers,
I humbly accept the criticism that several scenes in Episode 1 contained disrespectful depictions of other cultures and people. Even if the direction and themes of the story differ from what you may be concerned about, I have decided not to launch the work, as the fundamental limitations of this project's premise are clear. I believe this situation has revealed my complacent attitude toward human rights sensitivity when handling a specific era and setting, and that my storytelling lacked sufficient care and nuance. I am deeply ashamed. In my eagerness to focus on the characters, I failed to fully recognize that I was replicating problematic historical contexts and representational tropes found in past works. I also deeply resonate with the criticism that the characterization in question was not something to be treated lightly within a genre. What I had told myself was passion for the stories, I now recognize as arrogance. I was not as prepared or as careful as this story required me to be.
I apologize for any displeasure caused to you, and I will carry this reflection with me as I continue.
Sincerely, JAXX
Well...how long till people start making videos about how twitter harassed an innocent artist who didn't know any better and that black people are sensitive?
an author trying to make a historical piece that's not of their own is already icky to begin with. even within our own history there might be inaccuracy much else other people's. one wrong move (like this case) and you're done. that's why author tend to use fantasy kinda vague setting instead (not saying that making racist shit is okay in a fantasy...... reply

I don't get how this project even got accepted. I mean, it has to be approved first before it's published, etc...and nobody said anything or realized how messed up it actually is?
It's good that the author apologized and it got cancelled, but still... this must have been planned for months and everyone thought it was okay reply
Im happy they acknowledged their mistake and discontinued the series. Jaxx is an incredible storyteller, theres no doubt about it and I was so disappointed when I read the first chapter. I think this was a sufficient learning opportunity for many authors. Im excited to see Jaxx's future works develop as they said that they will carry this reflectio...... reply
Not even the apologize was published when there were people already saying it wasnt a big deal, that it was just fiction and was against the criticism of the author for this. We are genuinely evolving if many people didnt see anything wrong, the criticism was NECESSARY. Every part of the world knows what slavery was and she wanted to make it a feti...... reply
